Laundry, Tailor Shop, Waste Center and Barber are units affiliated with Housekeeping. The working order, follow-up, material purchases and controls of these units, and the preparation of technical specifications for cleaning materials are the responsibility of the Housekeeping unit.
Laundry: Performs washing and ironing of all textile materials used in the hospital. It operates in shifts and provides 24-hour service. In the laundry, 7 units of 60 kg washing machines, 1 unit of 30 kg washing machine, 1 unit of 20 kg washing machine, 9 units of 30 kg drying machines, 2 units of 60 kg drying machines, 1 cylinder iron, 1 household washing machine are actively serving. 14 laundry personnel and 1 laundry supervisor work. 100000-120000 pieces of laundry are washed per month.
Tailor Shop: Performs sewing, repair and maintenance of all textile materials used in the hospital. Operating room green covers, stretcher covers, sheets, perforated sheets and abdominal towels are sewn. 3 tailor shop personnel provide service. There are 3 sewing machines, 1 overlock machine, 1 embroidery machine. 1000-1500 meters of fabric is sewn per month and repairs are made to laundry requiring repair.
Hospital Barber: Performs shaving operations for inpatients, patient relatives and hospital personnel. 1 person provides barbering service. 250-300 people are shaved per month.
Waste Center: It is the unit where hospital waste is temporarily stored and delivered to municipalities and companies with waste personnel. 4 waste personnel work. 1 person works 08:00-17:00, 3 people work in shifts and 24-hour service is provided. There is 1 medical waste storage, 2 hazardous waste storages, 1 packaging waste storage, 16 underground domestic waste containers and 1 glass waste container. Our hospital produces 22-24 tons of medical waste, 1.5-2 tons of hazardous waste, 60-65 tons of domestic waste and 4-5 tons of packaging waste per month.
